A Reader's Manifesto

"A man who has not disciplined himself to read has narrowed his freedom to choose between ideas. He is confined to what he hears. He is at the mercy of the propagandist. He has limited his freedom to think."

  1. on the other side of the coin is the risk of refusing to think original thoughts, from all the readings a person has made, making him think he will only be copying or creating a pale shadow of someone else's thoughts.... glad to have discovered your blog.

  2. original thinking always comes first because it starts from the individual, inside-out. and reading from varied sources is a good way to know what others think, that can challenge or support our opinions...
it's up to the individual if he wants to be a mere Copier, or an Original. =)
